Child Safeguarding at Inspire Fitness Centre

Inspire Fitness Centre is fully committed to protecting the welfare and wellbeing of every child who uses our facilities or takes part in our programmes. This includes activities such as swimming lessons, junior fitness programmes, camps, parties, and other youth services.

In line with the Children First Act 2015, we have carried out a detailed risk assessment of our services and put clear safeguarding procedures in place to reduce the risk of harm. These procedures cover supervision, staff recruitment and vetting, behaviour management, reporting concerns, and the safe use of facilities and technology.

All staff, instructors, contractors, and volunteers are required to follow our Child Safeguarding Procedures and to act in the best interests of children at all times. Staff receive appropriate training and guidance, and all relevant roles are subject to Garda vetting and reference checks.

We have appointed Designated Liaison Persons who are responsible for managing child protection concerns and ensuring that any concerns or disclosures are handled promptly and in line with national guidelines.

Our Child Safeguarding Statement is reviewed regularly and is available to parents, guardians, and members of the public on request.

Safeguarding children is a shared responsibility, and at Inspire Fitness Centre we take that responsibility seriously.
